Previz render of some CAD loudspeakers with Arnold

just some basic Arnold renders of some loudspeaker and a bluetooth radio, which was imported to Maya as CAD files.
This was just some previsualization work.

Some Maya Mash network and Arnold x-ray shader

This was created for a Webpage intro. The brain and heart were shaded with Arnold using an x-ray shader by using the AiFacingRatio texture.
The heart is simply rigged with bend and squash  deformers.
The pulsating lights and blinking neuron network is just a simple Mash network with duplicated spheres growing and decreasing in dimension. The lighting was created in After Effects.

Bending glass with Maya and Arnold

Did the 3D for this clip. Its just a polygon plane bending around an arm with bend deformers.
The shading was done with Arnold.

Maya fire fluids and Arnold shaders

For this animation I only did the shading and lighting of the 3D scenes and modeled the background room.
The fire was done by a colleague.

Some Maya Bifrost with Boolean animation

For this project I did the Bifrost Simulation. Also did the shading, lighting and modeling.
The table gets cut away by a deformed sphere primitive. This was done by a simple boolean difference operation. The table cut away animation then was exported as an animated alembic file, in order to have a faster interactive animation within the Maya viewport.
The liquid simulation then was run on the animated alembic table. To be honest the cut away mesh was quite dense, so the simulation took some time (about 2 days).

Maya town model and card emission with ncloth

created the 3D of this project. The cards emitting from the tyres as well as the cards flying into the air was just some basic ncloth simulation.
The car was rigged and animated with a xbox controller with the help of Craft Director Studio.
The furniture was custom modelled after reference. 3D model hosted at sketchfab

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018

This summer was really dry, which can be seen on the photos. The lawn in Goodwood was just brown. Nevertheless the event was great. This year Goodwood celebrated 70 years of Porsche history.

Here is a link to the complete gallery: link

CAD speedometer / tachometer rendered with Arnold

This is just a short clip of a rendered speedometer, which was used for a product presentation.
At the time of filming the car commercial the hero car did not have the right instruments ready.
Hence the speedometer clip was created to be added to the rest filmed footage.

The speedometer was provided by BMW as CAD data. I did the shading lighting and rendering of the 3D model.
Rendered with Arnold in Maya.

Maya character animation rendered with Arnold

Created this simple 3D character animation for a product presentation.
The character was purchased at turbosquid and then custom rigged within Maya. The materials on the robot are all Arnold shaders.

The motion graphics and the compositing was done by a colleague.

CAD lamp distribution with Mash and Arnold render

Created the interior renders for this project. The 3D architecture is custom modelled with purchased 3D furniture.
The texturing was done with arroway textures as well as some Substance materials. The CAD data of the lamp model was retopologized with Maya and shaded with Arnold materials. The lamp was then distributed across the room with some Mash network.

The closeup of the lamp model was animated and rendered by a colleague via the Element 3D plugin for After Effects.

CAD lamp models and Arnold interior renders

Created the interior renders for this project for a lamp company. The lamps are CAD data, that was cleaned and partly remodeled in Maya. The interior architecture was custom modelled. Only the furniture was purchased at turbosquid.

Texturing was partly done with arroway textures or substance materials.

A colleague animated the closeup shots of the lamps within After Effects via the Element 3D plugin.
