Toon character animation for product visualization with Maya

For this project we used the character I created for a test animation. The character was created with Autodesk Character Generator and rigged with HumanIK.
The closeup scenes of the hands are key animated. The rest is just motion capture data attached to the HumanIK rig.
The shading was done with mental ray. The kitchen is custom modelled with Maya. I used arroway textures for the final look.

Simple logo animation with Maya

This was just a basic logo animation of a sun. The model was created with Maya and rigged with a simple facial animation using blend shapes.

Toon sketch render of a female character using mental ray and Photoshop filters

created this test animation of a character drawing using mental ray toon outlines and Photoshop filters. The character was created using Autodesk Character Generator and rigged using HumanIK.
The animation itself is just motion capture data , which was attached to the HumanIK rig. . 
The rendered animation was then imported to Photoshop, where the render was modified with various sketch filters.
Everything was composited in After Effects.

Robot animation with Maya and rendered with Arnold

Created the 3D scenes for this product film. The robot is CAD data imported to Maya. 
I did the rigging as well as shading and lighting of the 3D scenes. 
Shading was done with Arnold. The robot rig is just a simple setup with basic parent constraints. 
It was then animated with Maya.

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2014

Went to the Goodwood Festival of Speed last Sunday. It was again a great event as every year. :)
Did a short clip, but I prefer taking photos.

Simple car rig by animating the environment with Maya

Helped to create this film. Did the modelling of the Philips LED light and the packaging shot at the end. Also rigged the scene and character with HumanIK and setup the environment.

It was produced within a short time. Instead of rigging the car and driving it on a large road environment, the car only moves on a roundabout.
In fact in this scene the environment is animated and rotates around the stable car.
With this setup we kept all the car animation within the origin and didn´t have to constrain the 3D cameras to a moving car rig.

Razor product render and fly animation with Maya and Arnold

For this commercial I had to clean the CAD data of a razor. The shading was then done with Arnold in Maya.
Besides I animated a fly in the clip. It was a prerigged character model from turbosquid.
The fly was then shaded with Arnold shaders.
